Powerkix has a club at Cross Roads Church
in Freeport, IL. There are 2 Black Belts - Andrew Dorsey & Josh Heise - the
rest of the members are all color belts. Mr. Matthew Bailey a 3rd Degree
Black Belt is the major instructor there. Mr. De Vries, the Chief Instructor
at Powerkix, teaches in Freeport once a month. This club is growing and hopefully with the growth it will become possible to open a permanent branch of Powerkix in Freeport. The youngest member is only 5 years old and is already a yellow belt. By offering Tae Kwon-Do in Freeport Powerkix is providing a service to the community that was not available before. Mr. De Vries used to teach Tae Kwon-Do for another school in Freeport but when he left the other school to open Powerkix in Janesville, the club in Freeport stopped to exist and thus leaving a big gap. Some of Mr. De Vries' previous students contacted him and convinced him to open a club in Freeport. This happened in December 2005. Any person from 4 years old to 100 years young can join and enjoy the benefits of Tae Kwon-Do. The contact person is Mr. de Vries at (608) 741-KIXX. |
