Powerkix - Instructors

Mr. De Vries started his martial arts career when he was in 8th grade in South Africa. He did Shotokan Karate under Sensei Chapman & world champion, Sensei Whitey Pollock. Then Mr. De Vries started doing ITF Tae Kwon-Do under Instructor Stephnie Smith. He competed in various tournaments and won his provincial colors in the 2nd year he trained. He won the South African National Championship in Olympic Sparring, Traditional Forms, Breaking and Bare Knuckle Knock Down Sparring 2 consecutive years. He studied under Grandmaster Sang Kee Paik for a while and is still studying under Master Peter Paik.

Under his tutaledge Team PKX has done very well winning various divisions at various competitions over the past 3 years. Team PKX competitors are highly rated at tournaments.

Judy Fladhammer (54) She is a 2nd degree Black Belt. She is involved with martial arts for the past 25 years. Judy won Traditional Forms & Point Sparring at the World Martial Arts Games at Columbus, Ohio in 2005.

She is a Special Services Nurse and is also the owner of an upholstery business and a fast food restaurant in Janesville, WI.

Judy has her own style of teaching and is very well liked by the students of all ages. She is inspiring and sets a very good example to everybody in martial arts. She is still a very active competitor in Traditional Forms and Sparring. She will be testing for her 3rd Degree Black Belt this year.

Judy is also a member of Team PKX for the past 2 years.

Jerrys Kincade (46) He is involved in martial arts for 8 years. He earned his 2nd Degree Black Belt in 2006. Jerry specializes in Olympic Sparring and Traditional Forms. He won Gold in Olympic Sparring at The World Martial Arts Games in Columbus, Ohio.

Jerry works for the US Postal Services as a mechanic in Madison, WI. He lives in Milton and is an active sportsman in the area.

Jerry's style of teaching is unique in the sense that he will concentrate a lot fitness and Olympic Style Sparring.

Shawn Fladhammer (30) He is a 2nd degree Black Belt and is involved in martial arts for about 18 years. He started at a very young age and is still one of the best Olympic Style Sparred in TKD. He has numerous achievements in martial arts.

Shawn is involved in swim coaching and other activities in the community. He is one of the best fitness instructors in the business. With his background and interest in mixed martial arts, he is a big influence at Powerkix and is well respected by every member at Powerkix. The kids are all crazy about him.

Matthew Bailey (29). He is a 3rd Degree Black Belt. He got certified as a 3rd Degree Black Belt this year. Matt is teaching in Freeport, IL and helps out with classes in Janesville, WI. Matt is very good with kids and is very strong in techniques.

He is good in Breaking and can be rated with the very best.

Ryan Kanable is a very good fitness instructor and works hard on expanding his knowledge in martial arts. He does a very good job with the kids and is very good with discipline. He is a very good technician.

Alexander Beebe (16). He is a 2nd Degree Black Belt. He attends Milton High School in Milton, WI. He is a very good around athlete and does well in Wrestling, Swimming and Track where is favorite event is 400m.

Alex is rated 2nd in Point Sparring in the USA by American Karate Association. He won Olympic Sparring at the AKA Grand Nationals in Chicago in 2005. He went on to win the Grand Champion's Cup in Olympic Sparring too. He is one of the best young and upcoming martial artists.

Morgan DeVoe (15). 1st Degree Black Belt. She will be testing for her 2nd Degree Black Belt in 2006. She has been in martial arts for 10 years.

Morgan is going to Parker High School in Janesville, WI.

Morgan won Olympic Style Sparring at the AKA Grand Nationals in Chicago in 2005 and placed 3rd in Traditional Forms at The World Martial Arts Games in Columbus, Ohio. She is one of the best young female martial artists in the area.

Jacob Kincade (14). He is a Black Belt. He is involved in martial arts for 5 years. He is going to Milton High School in Milton, WI.

Jacob won Olympic Sparring at the AKA Grand Nationals in Chicago, IL. Jacob also won Gold in Olympic Sparring at The World Martial Arts Games in Columbus Ohio in 2005.

Jason Smith (14). He is a 2nd Degree Black Belt. He is in martial arts for 6 years. Jason placed 2nd in Olympic Sparring at The AKA Grand Nationals in Chicago, IL. He is very good in Traditional Forms, Point Sparring & Olympic Sparring.

Jason goes to school in Beloit, WI.

Steve Geller (34). He is a Black Belt. He has trained in Jeet Kung Do, Kali Stick Fighting, Mui Thai and is a Black Belt in TKD.

Steve's son is also involved in TKD and is a Green Belt. Steve helps with the kids classes and is a very good self-defense instructor.

Jared Schindler (19). He is a 1st Degree Black Belt which he earned this year. Jared is very interested in XMA and trains hard to get the basic XMA moves down and to progress in an area that will fit him. Jared is dedicated and knows that the traditional is needed to build good foundations for other training. He helps with the kids classes.

Taralyn Wilmer (9). A 2nd Degree Junior Black Belt. She is ranked amongst the top 3 in the world in Breaking in her age group.

Tara is good in helping out with new kids who are joining Powerkix. She has the ability to make them feel at home and also helps them with the protocol when entering & exiting the training area as well as how to act when talking to Black Belts.
